Meet Dr. Jon Mehr

Jon D. Mehr, DDS

I love being able to take care of people. I’ve learned from my mother, a nurse of 48 years, that there is a lot more to patient care than just completing a procedure. I love learning about our patients’ life experiences, where they have lived, family traditions, what they have done, and what they are going to do.

I believe one of the best aspects of dentistry is the preventative care we provide. If we are able to intercept potential problems early, it can make a huge impact for our patients later in their lives.

Education and Experience

Dr. Jon Mehr, DDS is a graduate of the University of Idaho (1993) and Creighton University School of Dentistry (1997).  Drs, Jon and Martha Mehr began practicing in Leesburg, FL in 1999 where they live with their three children, Sam, Kate and Ryan.

Dentistry continues to change with advancements in technology and techniques.  Dr, Jon stays current with these changes by being active in continuing education and taking courses at the Spear Institute and belongs to the ITI Implant Study Club as well as being a member of the ADA, FDA and Lake County Dental Society.

The practice is state of the art using Cerec to create and deliver crowns and other bonded restorations at the same visit.  The Dexis digital X-rays reduce radiation exposure time for the patient while improving diagnostic ability.  The sterilization equipment is modern with tested results.

Outside the Office

When he is not working, Dr. Jon enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, fishing and reading.
